Weekends are always busy on the farm with too much to do and too few hours in the day.
In the midst of shearing the Angora buck, Buddy, my very expensive and almost new clippers went dead. Yup, just plain stopped working in mid clip. Poor Buddy, he is so patient. I had to finish off his shearing with my scissors! I only had his head and neck yet to do and thankfully it didn’t take too long. Lucky for me my husband is very electronically gifted and loves a challenge. He had my clippers apart and the problem identified in minutes. Seems it was a bad crimp which caused a connector to overheat and burn out a wire. So I’ll be back in business tomorrow and can finish up the other goats as well.
Several tons of hay are begin delivered tomorrow morning. What fun! Just think - other people pay a membership fee and go to a gym for this kind of a workout. Want to develop your farm muscles? Well, heck, come on out and bring your workgloves!
PS: Please be patient with us as we learn about this blog stuff. It may take us a while to get the hang of it but we’re certainly going to give it a try.

I’m not sure this blog will let me enter the custom fields anywhere except within each blog post. Bummer.
Was gonna email Zeilingers (spelling?) today about getting some more pygora fiber dehaired and blended, but work went to crap-ola and I had left my magic wand at home (yet another bummer).
Here’s a cute photo of Buckwheat, my very cute and shy pygora wether.

I’m still trying to figure out what (and what not) is possible with this canned Blog program! I actually had to break down and read some instructions. Aaaarrgh! I’m just stubborn enough that I usually skip the instructions.
I like blogs that have nice little things in the side bar, like: what I’m currently reading/knitting, etc. I’ve found a way to add that kind of list, but think it will end up in the main body of my blog attached to this entry. Well, we shall see!
Welcome to our new blog. Keep in mind that we have NO IDEA what we’re doing with this blog-thing. Please be patient while we figure all this geeky-techy stuff out. After all ~ we’re far more comfortable at both our spinning wheels and in the goatie barns!!
