I had no idea that blogging would be so difficult. Neither of us has posted anything for a month now. I felt obligated to at least type in SOMETHING today - what lame bloggers we are! It is difficult to come up with something on a regular basis.
I’ve not touched my cut pile silk project since returning from Soar. It is in plain view in my studio, staring at me each time I walk in. I feel guilty for neglecting it. Really. But I have managed to finish a project (photos coming later). A Finished Object! I bought some Noro Silk Garden when it showed up on Amy’s shelves in her shop. My friend Lynn stated, “You Must Weave a Scarf Out Of THIS! Ok ok already! I’m not a very good weaver - too much fussing for me, but I heeded Lynn’s advice and used the Silk Garden as the warp, to make a warp-faced scarf. (Oh yeah, I know alot of the weaving terminology, just can’t weave very well). Now, I must admit: I LOVE this scarf! The long color runs that are a hallmark of the Noro yarns makes it a perfect warp!
Other fronts: I’m currently hand processing an award winning Pygora fleece - it is to DIE for! Hmmmm….if I live long enough, I should really spin this entire fleece in a laceweight 2 ply and knit a lace shawl…..well, we shall see.
