Snow, that is. Once this all melts, I will have to dig out the barn. Ugh! It gets dirty quickly with 6 goats stuck in there most of the day and night. TMI, yeah, I know….
Our driveway was getting ridiculous and so Gary worked on it for a couple of hours today - the goaties watched…

Then he dug out my Jeep…(we need to buy TALLER boots!)
Then he plowed the driveway….having small farm implements come in handy!
So I’ve been knitting…and knitting!
Sportweight Pygora fingerless gloves…
And the laceweight version (which aren’t done yet - and have been rather tedious!)
Oh yeah….cute goatie pic!
I am NOT a fan of winter weather. Oh, sure, it’s gorgeous when it snows, but it really messes up my routine. Perhaps it’s because I live at a higher elevation than I should, on a steep, windy blacktopped logging road! I was ok with powering my way into town, but ever since our “adventure” two winters ago, I’ve lost all my will to be adventurous in the snow. All of it.
18″ of this white crap is NOT making me happy! The goats aren’t overly thrilled with it, either.
Goats don’t like to be out when it’s actively snowing. So they get cabin fever. Bad. They get grumpy and beat the snot out of one another while in the barn. Yeah, feeding time can be a workout!
How deep is it?
Belly deep!
Good think I have one of those electric buckets!
and I wonder how much our deck can withstand…
And Hunter doesn’t look too impressed!
As crappy as it is - I must say, it makes for a gorgeous view!
And I have managed to get some knitting done! Yay! Too bad it’s not bloggable at the moment….
Keep warm everyone!
What a difference a week makes! The weather was so nice last weekend, that it was time to take care of some outdoor chores. My electric net fence wasn’t working too well….I wonder why?

Goats typically do the single-file thing, but now with snow so deep (and legs so short!), it becomes more of a necessity

Good thing nobody spoke up for the purple Targhee….because it’s ALREADY gone! All of it. I didn’t mean to tempt anybody, but I had company again yesterday at my studio and once they stuck their hands in the bags of Targhee top, their eyes rolled about and then they said, “MINE!”. Susan and Gail from Abstract Fibers came up for another visit and brought their fellow spinner, Kristin with them. I think Gail would’ve slept out in the barn with the goaties if I’d let her! I’ll have to get a nice photo of Mr. Thunder and post it for her. Thanks for a great visit you guys!!
